Formed in late 2023 in the city of Viana do Castelo (Portugal) as a DIY project, Unfinished Grounds is a melodic punk rock/skate punk band.
Their melodic tone draws its influences from the Californian and Swedish punk rock styles of the 1990s.
Their lyrics are loaded with sociopolitical messages, with protest, anti-war, and humanitarian sentiments.
As a very recent project, they released their first EP "Reset and Reclaim" in 2024, followed by the singles "Sorry", "Empty Games" and "Great Young Kid".
They are currently completing the studio recording (for the first time) of the eight previously released songs and three new songs for their debut album.
It is lined up by the vocalist and guitarist Rui Escaleira, the guitarist lead Ricardo Lima, the bassist Pedro Bessa and the drummer Paulo Escaleira.

"Sometimes" one of the tracks from the album "Memories From Tomorrow" which will be available on digital platforms on September 5th 2025, emerges as a response to the times of conflict and suffering that are currently sweeping through our lives. Beyond a wake-up call, it's a call for resilience and hope for humanity, and an urgent call for action from world leaders. |
